I designed these pens for a class entitled ME 115B: Product Design Methods. This class focused on the development of products from initial concept to functional product, with an emphasis on aesthetics. We also learned effective techniques for presenting product concepts, advanced visual thinking and prototyping skills. For this particular project, we had to select three designers and use their work as inspiration for three unique pen designs. From there, we created physical prototypes for form and scale (not color/medium) and chose two of those three designs to further develop through a more refined prototype, a mockup on Adobe Illustrator, and a final portfolio presentation.
